Fused Glass Nightlight and Suncatcher
Hosted by Laura Allen-Pannell
Thursday, April 16th
6:00pm-8:00pm
$115 per person
Make your own fused glass nightlight with a design you create from pieces of colored glass on a rectangular base. Your artful design will be fused together in a kiln to create a single, durable piece. You will learn to use hand tools to cut and shape glass, as well as techniques for using different forms of glass and layering. The final piece is attached to a nightlight base with a brass clip. Each nightlight has an on/off switch allowing you to control when it is in use. Once your nightlight is completed and if you have enough time, you may also create a small suncatcher. The suncatchers will have 2 embedded hooks for hanging.
A few safety notes:
- Safety glasses are required. I will have them available to borrow or purchase. Feel free to bring your own.
- No sandals or open shoes, such as Maryjane styles.
- You may bring something to drink, water, coffee, or soft drinks, in closed containers.
- I recommend that you wear something that covers your legs at least to the knees.
Max Class Size: 4 people (minimum of 2 to conduct the class)
